#BettingPeople Interview ANDY SMITH On-course bookie and Professional Punter 1/4
Andy Smith’s education was partially conducted on racecourses, working with his bookmaker father, Chris. Andy worked for various bookmakers before going alone as Festival Racing betting in some of the prime positions in the Westcountry. He still retains some pitches but is now gamekeeper turned poacher earning his living from other bookies punting professionally.
In Part 1, Andy talks about how he earns his living betting now. He tells us about his background working for his father and how a skill in maths enabled him to accurately price races from an early age.
