Terry Norman has represented some of the best known jockeys in flat racing as both an agent and analyst. He is currently analyst for champion jockey Oisin Murphy and in the past has been agent for Kevin Darley, Jason Weaver and Kieren Fallon amongst others. He also has an extensive background in journalism including The Sporting Life, early days of At The Races and Timeform Radio. In this four part series we find out more about how he started in the industry through greyhound racing, life as a jockey’s agent, finding angles on the all-weather at Southwell and his thoughts on the current state of the sport.
In part 2, Terry talks about the demise of The Sporting Life and how things changed for him afterwards. Starting out on a new career as a chef but then finding a way back into the game as a jockey’s agent which eventually included working with Gary Stevens, Kieren Fallon, Jason Weaver, Kevin Darley and Eddie Ahern over the years.
