Lizzie Kelly was the first lady rider to win a Grade 1 jumps race in the UK and came very close to matching that feat in France as a jockey she won The Betfair Hurdle, Betfred Bowl and Ultima and rode twice in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, since retiring to start a family she’s a TV and Radio broadcaster and runs Valentine Bloodstock alongside her Husband Ed. Lizzie talks about her career highlights then about her childhood growing up in a racing yard with her mum Jane and stepdad Nick Williams, she talks about some of the great racehorses sent out from the yard at that time including Diamond Harry and Reve de Sivola, working for Neil King and riding in point to points honing her skills.
