Peter Webb – Bet Angel – Don’t feel sorry for real sports traders
Here is a philosophical piece on my thoughts on being a sports trader. Sometimes it’s portrayed as a lonely professional working unsociable hours to the detriment of those close to you.
But I think that really depends on how you look at it. For me sports trading has meant I’ve seen more of my family than in my old job and I really enjoy what I do, but I have to accept that to be good at it, I have to work on days that most people don’t. A bit like a professional footballer. But like the latter, I get paid well to do. I also get an incredible amount of enjoyment out of it.
All things are relative and if you come from a background where odd hours were the norm, then sports trading shouldn’t really feel any different for you.
But there are things you should work hard to deal with and understand are challenging as a sports trader.
